Did you know that these elusive creatures had been seen recently in the Eurobodalla Region – until recently, we believed this species no longer existed on the NSW far south coast. However:

  • In 2018, Council helped to develop a phascogale citizen science project using nestboxes and cameras.
  • In November 2023, a phascogale appeared on camera.
  • We now know that brush-tailed phascogales are still living in the Eurobodalla.
