Whats the Buzz – Seminar on Insect Pollinators

Start Pollinator Week with an expert seminar at the Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Garden, 11 Nov 9.30am.

Delve deep into the enchanting world of bees, butterflies, flies, and other essential pollinators with distinguished experts Roger Farrow and Peter Abbott:

  • Roger Farrow: Professional entomologist who specialised int he relationships between insects and plants in their natural environment; author of Insects of South-Eastern Australia
  • Peter Abbott: Career background in chemical and food safety, now turning his attention to native bees; author of Native Bees of the ACT and the NSW South Coast

In the afternoon Roger and Peter will take walks in the Garden focussing on pollinators and habitat, and on Sunday Peter Abbott will host a lab sessions and walk on native bees.

On Saturday 18 November the spotlight walk with local field ecologist Craig Dunne will include ‘moth trapping’. And in between there are lots of fun activities for children of all ages!
